Orderly Emails ‑ Templates App

Generally speaking I had no qualms with this app other than it was a bit of a faff to update emails templates having to manually copy & paste but that's Shopify for you, and the designs were a little limited. But deleting all of my collections and in turn all of my navigation menus is absolutely unforgivable. I know it was an accident, but there were no backups, no undo, just years undone of my store in a blip. And the only help given from the developer was oh go check the web archive to jog my memory and manually piece back together my obliterated store myself. Also note this should never have been possible if Shopify gave appropriate permissions to app makers that were much more granular so an app couldn't touch more than they meant to. Shopify doesn't have your back, if you wanted your store backed up why would Shopify do that, why would the app breaking things do that, oh no you must have preempted this and already have yet another app for that of course, silly me! This app had absolutely no business touching all of my collections, and yet they deleted them all, and all Shopify did was string me along for days with false promises of getting them back. This all went down months ago, but honestly I'm still livid about it.

Thank you very much for the five stars 😃 All the best, Sarah / FORSBERG+two
We've been happy customers of Orderly Emails for many years, which makes this review particularly disappointing to write. On 29 March, a bug in an Orderly Emails update permanently deleted multiple collections from our Shopify store. What was most concerning was that there was no proactive communication. We discovered the issue ourselves and were left trying to understand what had happened. It was only much later that Orderly Emails acknowledged the bug, accepted that their software had caused the deletions, and confirmed the data could not be recovered. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We accepted that mistakes happen. Software bugs are an unfortunate reality, and we approached the situation patiently and professionally. We gave the company plenty of time to investigate, communicate and, most importantly, try to put things right. Instead, every response focused on why they believed they weren't responsible. We were told we should have had backups in place, despite the fact that this incident was caused by their own bug. Backups may help recover from a failure, but they do not excuse causing it. The most disappointing response was their suggestion that, because we had only paid a one-off fee of $39 back in 2016, they did not consider it reasonable to offer any compensation. The value of software has no bearing on the damage it can cause when something goes wrong. A low-cost app is not held to a lower standard when it comes to protecting customer data. At no point was there any genuine attempt to reach a fair resolution. We weren't looking for a windfall. A sincere acceptance of responsibility and a meaningful gesture of goodwill would have gone a long way. Instead, every conversation felt focused on avoiding responsibility rather than looking after a long-standing customer. The bug was disappointing. The way it was handled has completely destroyed our confidence in the company. If you're considering this app, don't just judge it on what it does when everything works. Consider how the company responds when something goes catastrophically wrong. Unfortunately, our experience suggests that's when you'll discover what they're really like.
I’d genuinely love to know how many (hundreds of?) millions of dollars the recent disaster has collectively cost users of this app, and will continue to for years to come with compounding. Simply unforgivable. And to be honest, Shopify can't be described as entirely innocent either.
DO NOT.....I REPEAT....DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP! It will delete all your collections, destroy your navigation and obliterate a decade of SEO ranking. To make matters worse the developers are mute on any remedies or compensation even if it is a token subscription as a gesture of goodwill and apology. A complete disgrace.
Absolutely heartbroken, since feb my traffic and sales have massively dropped! Now I have just discovered that this APP deleted hundreds of my collections creating thousands of broken links. 20 years worth of SEO - google rankings damaged! No one reached out to me, It took me to pay someone to work out the problem for us to discover the error! I cant believe they even had access to my collections via shopify! They have damaged my business beyond recognition its going to take a very long time for me to rebuild. Not even an apology! They should be paying compensation to all the businesses they have done this too! The money we have lost, the money we have had to spent and will spend - the damage is unreal and there seems to be no accountability
Just like everyone else says - it deleted our collections. There is no way to restore a backup, or even know which collections were deleted. Years of SEO and well crafted collections just deleted. Of course we wanted to remove this app and stop paying for it after this happened, and we realized how easy it is to use Claude instead of this app. Just paste in your existing notification email into Claude, give it your design guidelines if you haven't already, and then let it build something much nicer than this app does. Then just paste the code Claude gives you into your Shopify notification templates. Takes ten minutes to do all the notification emails, and a way better job (and free). We probably wouldn't have bothered doing this if this app hadn't deleted our collections.
They deleted ALL of my collections from my website and now I have to spend hours fixing everything they broke for no reason.
A serious incident with significant consequences. Following an update to the OrderlyEmails app, a bug caused multiple collections in my store to be permanently deleted. These were not temporary disruptions, but several years of carefully built collection structure, navigation logic, and SEO-related work. The data could not be recovered — neither by the app developers nor by Shopify — and the only “solution” provided was partial information based on third-party archived snapshots, which was not sufficient to accurately rebuild what was lost. While the team acknowledged the bug, the response was ultimately limited to referring to terms and conditions, with no meaningful support or compensation offered despite the scale of the impact. As a merchant, this raises serious concerns about data safety, accountability, and how critical incidents are handled — particularly for apps carrying the “Built for Shopify” badge, which implies a higher level of reliability and trust.
As others have mentioned, all my categories, collections and menu structure was wiped out by a catastrophic Orderly Emails glitch. I did a quick remap of my best sellers, but it will take days to remap the rest of my store. My sales have dropped dramatically since this happened. I removed the app from my store. Their only response, was "ooops, sorry."
I can confirm the deleted Collection pages and broken menus as reported by others. However, the most concerning aspect is how they handled this critical situation for many store owners. I was never contacted directly to inform me of the 40 deleted Collection pages and received no personal assistance. It’s clear they don’t care. They should be sued for their behaviour!
As with all other stores complaining we lost over 7 Years of ranking pages on google. Who authorized such an update where you unilaterally decide to delete client collections - Worse Shopify wont allow you to back up collections - So the one thing you can't back up this app went and deleted that. Extremely negligent management and uneducated developers.
Orderly email stuffed our website yesterday by deleting collections. One wonders why it has write access to a website without permissions - apologies are great and to fix it, I have to contact some other app provider. What happened if backups were not available - who is responsible ?
This app caused a serious issue for our store by deleting multiple collections and menu items which hurt our sales. We had no indication from its listed permissions that it should have been able to do this. Shopify said Orderly would follow up, but their response was very weak and did not properly address the issue. I would strongly recommend not installing this app, especially given that other businesses appear to have been affected as well.
This app permanently deleted ALL of my smart product collections this morning with no warning and no permission. The developer is "aware of the issue." The fact that they allowed this to happen at all is completely unacceptable. Obviously this and all other apps from this developer have been permanently deleted and banned from ever being used on our store in the future. It's been two weeks since this major incident and we haven't heard from the developer with any updates.
Update 07/04/2026 You need to read this complete review The app developers have gone quiet with no support for the disaster they have caused for hundreds, maybe thousands of stores. Not even a follow up email to see if we were able to get things back online. What a disgraceful developer! If you want an app that is produced by AI and has no dev skills from humans then this is the one to kill your entire business over night. This is the reply we have received asking for help - Thank you for your reply, and I'm very sorry for the impact this has had on your business. We completely understand your point, especially when rebuilding requires time and external developer support. We know this has created a real burden for many merchants. However, regarding assistance with costs, we are currently unable to discuss any compensation. I am deeply sorry for the underwhelming answer. We wish we could provide you with a better response right now. Thank you for understanding. Luisa FORSBERG+two Minus 10 stars as the app has totally destroyed our store by deleting collections, catergories mega menu and products .. Shopify did an audit trail and found this app deleted things Also can not contact Orderly for any help! Will be deleting this app today as it is not safe to use To make this situation worse, the company Forsberg did not and have not communicated with any of their clients until we conntacted them. They have offered no help except for saying that we are responsible to correct the missig collections and menus. Its been 3 days now and still no solutions offered. We have lost all the custom development we had and the SEO has been impacted by severely as we have 404 status showing on many collections with google, Bing, Yahoo plus Facebook and Instagram This issue and lack of support has cost us thousands of dollars in time, lost sales over 2 days and developer costs. There has to be compensation offered by Forsberg!!
This app caused widespread and significant damage to many Shopify stores by deleting collections without warning. For those affected, this is not a minor inconvenience - it has fundamentally disrupted site structure, navigation, and product visibility. In our case, the impact has been severe enough that the website now requires taking offline while we rebuild collections, reconfigure navigation, and restore the overall layout. This is both time-consuming, and costly. The issue has been described as a “bug,” but the scale of the damage goes far beyond what most store owners would consider an acceptable technical fault. Collections are a core part of any Shopify store, and their removal has knock-on effects across the entire customer experience - including visibility on search engines like Google. An apology email is not sufficient in situations like this. The response does not reflect the seriousness of the disruption caused, nor the level of responsibility owed to businesses relying on this app. Store owners place trust in apps to support their operations - not to compromise them. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly undermined that trust. It's quite unbelievable that Shopify hasn't yet severed their partnership with the developer - both their apps are still available in the app store. Where is the accountability? Shopify are still billing as usual and ignoring store owners. If people needed yet another excuse to find an alternative to Shopify, then this is the very thing!!!
Absolutely devastated. I dont think I have ever left a negative review before but people need to be warned to not use this app. Very damaging. Every collection and menu was deleted from my store. Years of SEO deleted and sales have obviously been affected. No solution in sight. Communication was shocking and completely unhelpful.
This app recently deleted multiple collections in our online store, damaging our online sales. We didn't even know that they had access to do this, which tbh looking at the permissions they did not. Its like they hacked our store in some way and then started deleting our collections which were actually product pages. Had Shopify not contacted us to tell us there had been an issue with this app we may not have noticed. Shopify said in their comms that Orderly would be in touch, they haven't. DO NOT install this app, if we didn't have a savvy Ops Mgr on board we may have taken longer to notice this issue and suffered further losses. Many businesses have been impacted.
Stay away from this app and this company at all costs. They "accidentally" deleted dozens of collections from our Shopify store which in turn broke many pieces of our website. Whats worse is they couldn't care on helping you try and recover your data. Monumental mess up. Shocking.
After sitting idle in my store for almost 10 years, this app somehow deleted more than 100 collections. It broke major parts of my website, created unusable pages, and caused serious business damage. I lost sales, time, and now face a long rebuild of collections, site structure, and search rankings. Extremely frustrating experience.
The hate they're getting is absolutely deserved. You're telling me they deleted collections on March 29th and didn't even bother to email me about it? Why am I first hearing about this from an automated Shopify email on April 2nd? Why does an EMAIL TEMPLATE APP need permissions to create/delete collections in the first place??? This is gross negligence, end of story.
After 12 years on Shopify without a single issue, having the Orderly Emails app wipe out my collections is a serious breach of trust - completely unacceptable. An app that can make changes at this level should absolutely have a built‑in backup or rollback option in case something goes wrong. On top of that, losing the SEO content in my descriptions is another blow. Thanks for that. I’ve uninstalled this app for good.
I had an extremely frustrating and damaging experience with the Ordely Email app for Shopify. After installing and using the app, it unexpectedly deleted all the categories from my store. This wasn’t a minor inconvenience, it completely disrupted my site structure, affected navigation, and created a terrible experience for my customers. Rebuilding everything took hours of work and unnecessary stress. I strongly advise anyone considering this app to think twice. No tool should have the ability to cause this level of damage without proper protections in place.
The app deleted collections and products from my store. Absolutely unreal. Company is providing an explanation how it happens and feels really sorry for themselves but not providing any help. I'll update this review as I figure things out. - make sure to check your discounts! lots of discout rules are based on collections and are now broken
Lovely templates that are easy to set up, professional, and offer a variety of options for upsell/cross-sell. I'm very pleased with OrderlyEmails. UPDATE: This app accessed and DELETED all of my Custom Collections--all Collections, tags, content, etc. that related to the two dozen I had spent years creating and perfecting for my e-commerce site. My site entirely depends upon the Custom Collections for everything from menus to page layout to product categorization and, overnight, they inserted a bug into my site that deleted, without any ability to recover, everything and merely said "apologies." Their suggested processes for recovery are useless to me and I have to now spend days upon days rebuilding my site. It would have only been worse if they deleted products. What a massive breach of protocol, coding, common sense, trust, and management from an absolute abortion of a company. They are just paid to minimally beautify my e-mails--NOT TOUCH MY SITE STRUCTURE IN ANY WAY. I simply cannot believe this happened and am stuck drowning in this mess for the foreseeable future while my sales plummet.

Thanks for the awesome review 🤩 We're so happy to hear that you love our templates and that they're easy to set up. Kind Regards, Sarah / FORSBERG+two
OrderlyEmails broke the one rule every Shopify app should follow: do not mess with live store data unless absolutely necessary. A bug in their update deleted our collections, cost us revenue, and left us rebuilding a huge part of our store by hand because Shopify could not restore what was lost. For an email template app, that is honestly absurd. We can’t recommend it after this.
Deleted Most of my collections and has caused me a lot of pain.
The reviews are sad and true. This app deleted years of work and cost us an unknown amount of revenue, time and potential issues which make take months to completely restore - if ever. Never let an app put you in this position.
These reckless developers obliterated years of work, deleted massive amounts of our data and were like "Welp! Good luck! Maybe you can use the wayback machine!" Shopify needs to hold them accountable, blacklist them from the platform, and insist on financial compensation for all of the users that they victimized.
«OrderlyEmails are writing to inform you of an incident that occurred on March 29, 2026 involving our Orderly Emails app which affected a subset of users. A bug in an Orderly Emails update caused some Shopify stores Collections to be incorrectly deleted. The update was intended to clean up duplicate collections created by our app, but due to the bug it affected other collections as well». -------- The app PERMANENTLY deleted a huge amount of our collection without the possibility to recover any of these. We had to invest many hours of work, and also hire an developer to fix this issue. We asked for a compensation for the hours and cost related to this incident and got this: «We understand the seriousness of this incident and the impact it has had on your business. We are deeply sorry for the disruption and loss it has caused. We have already implemented safeguards to ensure this cannot happen again. However, right now we are unable to discuss any kind of compensation.» I understand it might be a huge cost as it affects many of their customers, but giving those whom were affected a discount for X time to cover their cost is the least they could do.
The app randomly deleted 40+ of our collections during a technical update. They did not inform us immediately, we found out the next day when entire collections were missing from our online store. The developers were not able to restore deleted collections and we had to manually rebuild them. We also had to keep the online store closed during this time. If you are installing this app, please pay attention to what you are giving them access to edit and view.
Agree with ScootWorld, who will restore deleted collections or compensate the damage? How come this app had access to delete collections at all?
This app caused serious, real damage to our business, and based on what we’re seeing, we are far from the only ones. A giant "bug" in their system triggered a bulk deletion of collections across our store. This wasn’t a small glitch or a minor display issue. It removed our entire collection structure in a single automated action. Why that matters, here’s the reality: Collections are not just “organization” in Shopify. They power: site navigation product discovery landing pages paid ads QR code campaigns email flows internal linking across the entire site When those disappear, it breaks everything downstream. For us, this has impacted: our website structure active landing pages QR codes we’ve distributed at live events campaigns currently running ads SEO promos overall customer experience And we’re still uncovering the full extent. What’s even more concerning is this: They’ve now confirmed this was caused by a bug on their end, and that it affected many stores. But there was: no warning no safeguard no rollback and no proactive communication This is not just a bug. This is a failure in how destructive actions are handled. Even more alarming: they’ve stated their system does not properly log successful API actions like deletions, meaning they can’t even tell merchants exactly what was removed. That’s a serious design flaw. If you are using this app, you need to understand the level of access it has and the potential risk. This wasn’t a user mistake. This was an automated process that went wrong and caused widespread damage. We’re now spending significant time, money and resources rebuilding and repairing what was lost.
CATASTROPHIC DATA LOSS. DO NOT INSTALL. A rogue update from this app permanently deleted over 20 of our active collections and wiped out months of specialized, multi-lingual SEO infrastructure across 7 international markets. Instead of providing a fix, their leadership hid behind canned PR scripts, lied about recovery efforts, and ultimately told us to manually rebuild the destroyed data ourselves. Grossly negligent and completely unsafe for any serious Shopify merchant.
We experienced a critical failure with the Orderly Emails app that resulted in all 70 of our Shopify collections being deleted, along with our main navigation menu. This completely broke our site navigation and effectively rendered our store unusable. Customers could not browse products properly, and the structure of our site including SEO-critical elements was severely impacted. What makes this worse is how this was handled. The issue occurred days earlier, yet we were only notified on April 1. Unfortunately, this was not a joke. There were no safeguards, no confirmation steps, and no rollback available. An update intended to “clean up duplicates” should never be capable of deleting live business data at this scale. The response provided was simply to check the activity log and manually rebuild. That is not an acceptable outcome when an app has caused irreversible data loss. This was not an isolated issue multiple merchants have reported the same problem, with many updating their reviews to reflect the severity of the impact. This caused significant disruption to our business and required substantial time to correct. Merchants should be fully aware of the level of risk involved when an app has the ability to modify or delete critical store data without proper safeguards.
I’m updating my review after nearly 10 years of using this app. Until recently, I had a consistently positive experience and a great relationship with the company. However, on March 29, 2026, an error in their system caused collections to be deleted across affected Shopify stores. In my case, 49 collections were removed. As a one-person business, this has been extremely difficult to recover from. Rebuilding collections and reorganizing my store structure is incredibly time-consuming, and I simply don’t have extra hours in the day to absorb this kind of loss of time and revenue. I’ve spent multiple late nights trying to piece everything back together, and my sales have been in the toilet. I understand that mistakes happen, and I’m generally very willing to extend patience and grace when companies take responsibility and work to make things right. Unfortunately, in this case, there has been no meaningful effort toward restitution. There was no offer of compensation—no free subscription to their other services, no offer to pay for a backup service, and no tangible support such as developer assistance to help rebuild what was lost. While the company issued an apology and shared steps they’ve taken to prevent future issues, the burden of recovery has been placed entirely on affected customers. After many years of trust, this has been a deeply disappointing experience. --- Original Review Below---- Fantastic Developer! My store uses all of the apps by Forsberg+2. I greatly appreciate the "purchase" option for their apps, as opposed to the subscription model presented by other developers. This app is very well designed and thought out - if you are savvy with code at all, you can easily add a bit of personal flair to the templates - and if not, the developer is happy to assist you with subtle changes as you need. Having a full theme application that allows me to keep the same continuity throughout all of my email notices is really the icing on the cake for customer confidence in my brand. Would highly recommend this app, and Forsberg+2! ~ Karen LetterSeals.com
Extremely shocked and upset at the way this developer is handling their massive blunder that caused entire collections to be deleted from our store, without any way to get them back. They have provided zero assistance in fixing THEIR mistake, and to make matter worse, they are refusing to provide ANY compensation for the lost revenue that results from it. They act like simply informing customers is enough. Incredibly unserious and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs ! I will be looking into ways to hold this company accountable.
EDIT: DISASTER They deleted a bunch of our collections and there was no way to recover them. Massive issue and none of their methods could fix it. Why did they have access to delete collections in the first place? I guess it is my fault for not reading the fine print 10 years ago. They just sent an email saying, opps we deleted a bunch of your collections, sorry. No compensation, no hey maybe we'll offer you the app for free for the next 5 years, just sorry about that, hope you can figure it out. As good as their customer service was in the past, this is a disaster and Shopify should delete their app from the app store for this. Completely unacceptable!
Have used this app for over 10 years. Have recommended it to multiple other store owners. It's been great until now (March 2026) when we get notified (2 days after it's happened!!!) that the app has deleted multiple product collections and multiple menu navigation links across the store. What the hell an email template app is doing making such major changes to non-email related parts of our store is beyond us. Totally unacceptable.
I would have positive review as I have used them for years. Unfortunately they just had a huge issue with there system that has deleted multiple collections and menus on our website. Now they are give me complex instructions on how to try and get it back to the way my site was set up. I am a small company and do not have the time to read all these steps and possibly screw up my site even more. I feel you all should log in and correct the issues you caused. I would avoid this app if these kind of issues concern you.
On 29th March, Orderly emails broke my website completely. Dozens of collections disappeared. Many of these were part of the Main Menu - so the navigation broke as well. The number of hours that this will take to figure out the issues is enormous. It is always a risk giving store access to apps. But I never expected this level of irresponsibility. How could this have happened without human involvement? This is absolutely inexcusable because as a business we depend on tech providers to ensure that their work is impeccable. This is simply inexcusable. I hope Shopify will remove them from the app store so that no one else suffers this way in the future.
Sank my sales overnight by deleting my top collections.
Your app removed collections and menu from my store and I had a horrible day in sales. Your app is an email template app how the hell would it even remove collections without any approvals - this is a violation of policies and privacy issues and raises concerns on all your apps.
Destroyed my store, Lost 2 day worth of income, Still trying to rebuild
deleted our colections out of the blue cost us 2-3 days of sales at minimum
This app DELETED MOST OF MY PRODUCTS AND COLLECTIONS on my website. I'm missing out on thousands of dollars in orders. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
Years of work vanish overnight. They should be hold accountable or a law firm should start a class action. This is unacceptable they cost hundred thousands in dommage if not millions
This app deleted most of my collections. Why would an app that just simply helps you create pretty emails even have access to delete collections? Years of hard work, down the drain due to this app. Was it hacked? Did the developer go rogue? I guess we'll never know since there's absolutely no communication from the developer about this. This is absolute total fraud. Who knows what else this app has been able to do in the background This developer should be permanently banned from Shopify and legal action taken.
Your app deleted all of our collections ...and you clearly know about this because others have left reviews below and yet you said nothing??? I had to discover it on my own after two days of running paid traffic to a broken website and you didn't think to maybe get ahead of this? Seriously, F you. Let me guess... you started using AI to do your coding?
We experienced the same issue. More than 60 collections were deleted across several of our stores, and it will take days to rebuild everything. What is particularly concerning is how an email app, which otherwise performs well in its core function, has the ability to delete critical store data. This should simply not be possible.... Will need compenstation for this.
App caused significant damage to our business overnight with no warning. Developer never reached out (and still hasn't) with any information. We understand that glitches happen, but not communicating is completely unacceptable.
This app messed up our store. They deleted over a HUNDRED collections without permission or warning whatsoever! This messed up our loyalty app, links, categorisation etc and there is no way to recover these deleted collections other than to manually set them up again one by one, product by product! We demand an explanation, apology and a resolution for this ASAP.
Woke up this morning to having all of my collections deleted by this app as well as my main menu being deleted. No recovery by the looks of things and no idea this was going to happen. Gutted to say the least
EDIT - March 31, 2026 How on God's green earth can an Email only app have full access to delete collections??? You're supposed to be be an email app... and like most, you deleted my collections, and all you can say is "Oops sorry". I call BS and you should be compensating us ALL for the headache and lost revenue your BS app has caused many many merchants.

What can I really say...Thank you 🙏🏼 Thanks for taking the time to leave us a 5-star review 🤩 Kind Regards, Sarah / FORSBERG+two
We have been long‑term customers of Orderly Emails, but an incident on Monday at approximately 00:30am caused severe and immediate damage to our business. We tried to provide the company the opportunity to make it right by their mistake; however, sadly we had no choice by their poor handling to write this review. Due to a bug in the Orderly Emails app, our collections were deleted, which caused our entire website to stop displaying products to customers. As a result, we experienced zero sales, suffered significant revenue loss, and were forced to urgently hire a Shopify expert at our own expense just to get our store operational again. According to Orderly Emails’ own support team, the incident occurred because a bug in their app unintentionally deleted collections. This was verified in the Shopify store logs. These deletions were executed as “valid API calls,” meaning there were no error logs, no rollback mechanism, and no record of what was deleted. They confirmed they have no copy of our data, are unable to restore anything, and that recovery depended entirely on us and they were not willing to help. The communication and incident response were completely unacceptable. Customers reported the issue to our support team and when we made contact with this developers live chat, they already knew of the incident and said they notified Shopify but didn't think it was important to notify their own customers via email. We received no proactive email notification when the incident occurred. The only public acknowledgment appeared approximately 15 hours later in the form of a small banner within their chat widget, which many merchants would never notice. During this time, we were left chasing support while our store was broken and actively losing revenue. Despite the severity of the incident, there was no direct outreach, no remediation plan, and no clear ownership taken. In terms of accountability and leadership, we requested a video call with the founder and CEO, who according to their own advice is also responsible for coding decisions. This request was declined, with the explanation that they only offer email support. For an incident that took down live stores, deleted merchant data, and cost businesses real money, this response demonstrates a complete lack of accountability. Despite a confirmed bug on their side, proven financial losses, and emergency costs incurred to fix their mistake, Orderly Emails refused to discuss compensation of any kind. There are also serious concerns about development and testing practices. In the company’s own blog, the founder mentions using AI tools (such as Cursor AI) for coding. This raises an unavoidable and serious question: was this destructive code properly reviewed, tested, and safeguarded before being executed on live merchant stores? If an app can delete core store data, lacks an audit trail, has no rollback mechanism, and pushes untested cleanup processes to production, it should not be trusted with live commerce infrastructure. This was not a minor bug. It was a business‑crippling incident, handled with poor communication, no recovery tools, no accountability, no compensation, and no leadership involvement. If your store relies on collections, products, or uptime, think very carefully before installing this app. When something goes wrong, you are entirely on your own.
this app mess up our store and delete all our collection.
App accessed our products and collections. I woke up to find my website in disarray as this app wiped out all our collections. No email notification, nothing. I had to email and ask and get this standard response. This is a huge breach of trust and security. I will be deleting this app and do not recommend.
This app deleted all of our collections randomly. This should be impossible and the fact they have the permission to do this is absurd. A huge task to restore everything and loads of sales lost. The support is none existent and the founder wrote two tweets all day with no updates.. Do not install this app, do not trust this company!
This app deleted over 25 important collections from my store which deleted all links and images from our homepage. Shopify confirms in the activity log that it was this app that deleted. Do not install this app and I recommend everyone to delete it immediately and report to Shopify.
The app deleted all of our collections without warning or authorization. Support has not responded to our messages. This has caused significant damage to our sales and reputation, and we are still awaiting a response.
Thanks for deleting EVERY SINGLE COLLECTION on my site yesterday then not bothering to let anyone know that you did it. You tanked 15 years of solid google ranking, search history and backlinks. You allowed this problem to go on for more than 24 hours before you had the decency to put an update in the notifications within the App on Shopify and post a note on your website, meanwhile you never actually reached out to any of the impacted sites. I found out only because Google Merchant Center and Simprosys Feed App sent me messages yesterday at the 12 hour mark warning of missing collections and 404 errors.
This app deleted a majority of our collections. We noticed this issue 03/29/26 and contacted Shopify Help Center for assistance because we had no clue why our collections were missing. Shopify stated it is a "known issue involving the Orderly Emails app, which has caused collections to be unexpectedly removed." From our activity log we can see they went through and deleted it as well. It is incredibly unprofessional that this company has not emailed its customers to notify them of this issue once they were made aware of it. Why does an email printing application even have permission to access our collections, let alone, delete them?
This app DELETED half the collections on our website and they have offered no solutions. We lost so many sales. Simply unbelievable.
This app deleted most of store collection automatically and SUPPORT DOES NOT EVEN RESPOND - WOW !
Absolute Disaster - They Deleted Our Store Data and Can't Fix It. I cannot recommend this app with even a single star. We are currently in the middle of a catastrophic incident caused by Orderly Emails, and their response has been nothing short of negligent. Their latest update admitted that a "bug" in their app blindly deleted active Collections from our Shopify store. Even worse, they explicitly stated: "we unfortunately have no way of recreating them ourselves." Think about what this means: Data Loss: They deleted live business assets (collections) without any confirmation step or safety net. No Recovery: They admit the data is gone forever because it wasn't "stored in their systems," despite the fact that their app triggered the deletion. This is a massive liability issue. Terrible Safety Standards: How does an update intended to "cleanup duplicates" result in mass deletion? There were clearly zero safeguards in place. Telling us to "check the Activity Log" is insulting when the log only confirms that they wiped our data and left us with nothing. This isn't just a bug; it's a fundamental failure of engineering and trust. We have lost weeks of work organizing products, and the vendor has no plan to make us whole. Do not install this app unless you want to risk losing your store's structure with zero chance of recovery. Save yourself the headache and find a competitor who actually cares about data integrity.
Why does an email template system need access to delete collections?! I understand this was an honest mistake, but its inexcusable. 17 of our MAIN collections deleted overnight. Lost sales and a ton of work to fix this now.
Started deleting collections on its own! DO NOT USE WILL RUIN YOUR STORE
Your app went rogue yesterday 29.03.2026! I started deleting a number of collections in my shop damaging my business? How the F is this possible?
This app deleted collections on my store and made me lose sales (automatic collections, ads, all deleted) and valuable time. DO NOT use this app. They dont know what they are doing and the app has too many permissions on your store
We experienced a serious incident with Orderly Emails where multiple collections on our store were deleted without warning or authorisation. Shopify logs confirm the app triggered these actions. This is an email app — it should never have the ability to delete store collections. There is no warning of this behaviour anywhere, and the damage caused is permanent and significant. This is extremely dangerous for any live store. We’ve contacted support and are awaiting a response, but we’ve also seen similar reports from other users. Use at your own risk — we strongly recommend avoiding this app until they resolve the matter
Orderly emails just deleted all our collections and hid all sales channel in a single sunday afternoon. FYI email received from them about the incident. So far, they won't offer any refund and support other than saying they are sorry. We have asked them for help as this has impacted our business greatly, but no efforts made. They did not even reach about the incident by email. We had to find out on our own. Incident with Orderly Emails Our app had an incident today, causing incorrect Collections to be deleted from some stores. We have informed Shopify and are investigating if these deletions can be reversed. You can check of any of your Collections were deleted, by checking your Store Activity Log page in the Shopify Admin. Look for the text “Orderly Emails deleted a collection” https://admin.shopify.com/settings/general/activity As soon as the issue was detected, we stopped the process to ensure no additional stores would be affected. As these collections were never stored in our systems, we unfortunately have no way of recreating them ourselves. The release was intended to cleanup duplicate collections created by Orderly Emails when tracking recommended products for your emails, but the bug caused it to delete other collections unintentionally. We are sincerely sorry for this, worst Sunday ever. We will update you as we can.
This app went rogue at midnight last night and deleted ALL the collections from my store. The developers were aware of the issue and did NOT communicate to customers. I had to chase the issue myself through Shopify support who checked the logs. There is NO RECOVERY. I have to now manually rekey all my store collections and menu structure manually. This has cost me thousands.
This app ruined our store like everyone else. Deleted all of our collections and also our main menu at 9am this morning with no notice. Then after they knew the issue happened, didn't even reach out to let us all know. We were all left to find out we have to essentially rebuild our stores and then find out who and what caused the damage. Should be illegal and also contacting a lawyer. Who knows how much time and money this will cost us now, unless they compensate us somehow to cover this time and expense
Deleted all of my collections overnight out of nowhere
Absolutely unacceptable experience. This app caused severe damage to our store by deleting nearly 49 collections from our 10 year old website and altering our entire structure without any authorization. Shopify confirmed that these actions came directly from this app. This is not a minor issue. It wiped out years of work, destroyed our SEO, and disrupted our business operations. An app designed only for email templates should never have the ability to delete collections or modify critical store data. There was no warning, no safeguard, and no clear explanation. This raises serious concerns about the level of risk associated with installing this app. If you value your store, your data, and your SEO, stay away from this app. The damage it can cause is far beyond anything acceptable.
this app just deleted all my collections without any notice. just like that. be aware of the permissions you allow them to have.
Just found out that this app went rouge and deleted almost 50 collection pages, which in turn also deleted any menus linked to those collections. Now I am spending a great deal of time undoing this mess. Not happy.
extremely expensive

Hi there, Sorry to hear you found the app pricing to be expensive. Finding the right balance of app price, while also keeping it a viable long term business is not easy. We'll take your feedback into account for the future. Thanks again, Bjorn

Hi there, That is very strange, I can see our team have replied to both of your emails the same day. For some reason they have not reached you :( If you log into the app, and click the "Help" button you can start a live chat with the team, then they can send you the replies again through there. You should also see their earlier replies automatically as soon as you log back into the app. If you have any more problems with it, or need anything else. Feel free to reply here too. Many thanks, Bjorn Forsberg Orderly Emails by FORSBERG+two

Their programing is messed up. Cannot order a new template without renewing the current one. I am not paying $198.00 just to get the same newer template without errors. Customer service was zero help. You have to cont them to have logos replaced or removed.
